Mumbai, Oct 21: Align by Ami, a clinical wellness practice in Bandra, brings osteopathy, strength training and recovery together in one place, built around the idea that the body works as an interconnected system. The practice combines osteopathic assessment and treatment, Lagree Megaformer training, pelvic floor therapy with a Pontemed chair, scar therapy, and a recovery suite housing a floating salt bath, contrast therapy combining infrared sauna and cold plunge, pressotherapy, and targeted cold wave therapy. The true differentiation lies in how these services inform each other rather than function independently.

Founder Ami completed an integrated master's degree in osteopathy at Health Sciences University London, where she specialized in women's health and pediatric osteopathy. During her studies, she trained under established practitioners including Valéria A Ferreira, Jane Watt, and Maria Elliott. She also completed certifications in MummyMOT practitioner and visceral training, internal pelvic floor assessment, pediatric specialization through the Osteopathic Centre for Children, Lagree instruction, medical acupuncture, and sports taping. After three years of clinical practice in London, she identified a specific gap in India's wellness landscape: the absence of spaces where clinical care, movement, and recovery operate as an integrated system.
As the Founder Ami explains,
"Osteopathy looks at the body as an interconnected system. Structure and function are interlinked, and a change in one area can influence another. How someone moves, builds strength and recovers can all influence how their body functions. That way of thinking naturally extends beyond treatment itself."
The model is particularly focused on women's health, an area that has remained largely overlooked in India. Postpartum recovery, pelvic floor health, and the conversation around sustainable strength have been pushed aside by fitness narratives built around performance. At Align by Ami, every client begins with a thorough assessment. There is no fixed program. A woman three months postpartum, a woman managing diastasis recti or pelvic floor concerns, and a woman training for general strength each receive a different protocol tailored to her anatomy, recovery stage, and goals.
"The pelvic floor is still not part of the everyday conversation around women's health," Ami says."I did not know much about it myself before my osteopathic training. The more I learned, the more I realized how closely it is connected to movement, strength and recovery. There needs to be much more awareness and education around it, not only when a problem arises."
The clinic, designed by Simran Sethia Design, reflects a deliberate philosophy: that the physical environment becomes part of the therapeutic experience. The interiors use a restrained palette of warm, muted tones with a single deep red accent. Lighting is soft and diffused, and textured surfaces create a sense of stillness rather than stimulation. The environment is designed to create ease, the moment someone enters, with nothing decorative simply for decoration's sake.
The Lagree studio maintains maximum class sizes of seven, allowing for individual movement assessment and adaptation. The recovery suite offers clients a choice of modalities depending on what their body needs, whether after training, during recovery from an issue, or simply as part of their wellness routine.
Pontemed, the pelvic floor assessment and treatment chair at Align by Ami, represents the first installation of this technology in India. Unlike conventional pelvic floor chairs that require users to sit upright and actively stabilize their core, the Pontemed reclines, allowing the pelvic floor to be assessed and worked with while the body is fully supported. The technology uses Functional Magnetic Stimulation to activate deeper pelvic floor and core muscles, remains completely noninvasive, and requires clients to remain fully clothed throughout treatment.
Pricing reflects the level of expertise, equipment investment, and individualized attention involved. Recovery services range from ₹3,000 to ₹7,500. Osteopathic and Lagree services are priced according to the consultation model. Rather than positioning this as luxury wellness, Align by Ami is designed for someone willing to invest time and money into understanding her body, defined not by income level but by commitment to long term health.
Capacity is deliberately controlled. The focus is not on high volume, but on taking the time to properly understand each person and give them appropriate attention. This approach is particularly important for osteopathic and pelvic floor work, where privacy and individual attention are fundamental to the experience.
Align by Ami opens in Bandra with a strong focus on establishing the model properly in Mumbai. Longer term, Ami envisions the space growing to welcome allied health professionals and traditional modalities like Chinese medicine and Watsu, all within the same integrated framework.
"The goal is to bring these three together in one space where you can unwind, de stress and get treated. It is a safe space for conversation as much as for treatment," Ami explains. "It's a place where clinical care, movement and recovery are genuinely connected. That's what's currently missing in India.
